After ten years working in economic development and politics at the state and local level and driving over an hour each way to and from work, working with HTCNE is fulfilling and  captivating in so many ways. I now have the opportunity to apply what I have learned over the years to such a worthy agency. To have an impact on so many lives is simply a happy place to be. In an ideal world there would be no needy children; instead of sitting back and complaining, everyone affiliated with HTCNE is doing something about it, in their own way...one child at a time

Mother of sons Alan and Shawn - who have taken a back seat to the needs of HTC occasionally. Twenty-Four years ago I came to volunteer at HTCNE and never made my exit. Throughout the years, I have worked in each program but the medical teams abroad program has always been where my heart is.  I feel privileged to work with the greatest group of people- both medical team personnel and office staff.  It is so rewarding to send these teams out and see the end-results of how many children we were able to help and how our team changed their life! This organization has changed my life and how I look at things as well! Such a rewarding job!

I am a stay-at-home mother of four children with a B.S. in Veterinary Technology. My children are all in school full time now and I really wanted to find a volunteer opportunity that touched my heart. In January of 2004, I learned about HTCNE and knew that it would be perfect. Although I don't get into the office as often as I would like, I love the time that I'm here and truly adore and admire the rest of the team. I also enjoy the fact that I am surrounded by fellow Dunkin Donuts fans.
