Domestic Kids
Healing the Children, Northeast’s Domestic Program
provides medical treatment and assistance to children in
our local communities who are otherwise unable to obtain
these services on their own due to a lack of financial

Hosting a
child
Host families are an integral part of the process
of healing a child. It is because of these generous
families that our program is able to accomplish so
much. In general, a typical stay for a child and their
parent will last from a few weeks to about 2 or 3
months, depending on the treatment plan. We have many
host family opportunities within the Northeast.

One School at a Time
The Healing the
Children…One school at a time:
Empowering Youth Program was developed by a
former teacher, now working at Healing the Children –
Northeast,
in order to promote youth volunteerism and social
awareness, specifically designed for schools and youth
organizations. The program educates youth volunteers
on the method of developing and following through with
an objective while encouraging social awaren ess by
providing a fulfilling opportunity to help the most
needy of children. The intention of the program is to
create a caring community by engaging the youth and
adult participants as learning partners that share
responsibility in the character-building effort. Non-profit,
humanitarian aid organizations, like Healing the
Children -
Northeast, with well-defined mission
statements, compassionate objectives and circumstances
that are relatable to real-life situations, present
students with an unparalleled opportunity to take
responsibility for improving their communities.
