IF the chart below shows that a CV, and or copy of your medical license is needed, please fax or email them to the office right away.  We need these to secure your working permits in country.  See below for fax number.

Important:

Your medical supplies must be gathered and carefully documented early in your trip planning process.  There is a lot of paperwork required to take medical supplies into Ecuador.  We must begin this process 5 weeks before your departure.  At that point all Boxes must be packed, numbered, labeled with the contents, and clearly marked as HTCNE Medical Supplies.  There must be a list of all contents corresponding to the box number.  We also need the dimensions and weight of each box or bag.

Foundation Staff:
      Olga Zapata - second in Command.  Responsible for keeping track of children associated with the foundation.  Clearing Customs of shipments. Coordinating hotel and transportation at sites. Speaks a little English.
      Arturo Camacho - he cares for all the equipment and supplies, collects food, water, meds, coffee and will get people where they need to go safely during the trip.  Speaks no English his HTCNE name is Superman!
      Carmen Figueroa - Is a special Ed teacher by profession.  Works as an administrator of the foundation.  Works closely with HTCNE and its International Inbound cases.  Speaks some English.

Hotel Rates:

Hotel in Guayaquil for 1 night is $75.00 double (Shared cost would be $37.50)  / $95.00 Single
Hotel in Zamora for 5 nights is  $32.00 a day  = $160.00 (meals incorporated into cost)

Flight Itinerary

Sept. 29: Newark to Guayaquil  CO 707 Departs 11:30 PM Arrives 5:04 AM (Sept. 30)

Oct. 6:  Guayaquil to Newark CO 708 Departs 7:30 AM Arrives 3:11 PM

Airfare per person: $640.00 plus $40.00 ticketing fee   Total: $680.00 per person

M. Gnagey:  9/29/06 Flt. 1199 from Boston 6:45 pm, Arr. Newark 8:16pm will join Team on flight to Guayaquil, see above.

Cancellations after July 31st are subject to $40.00 penalty.  Tickets that have been issued are not refundable.

We are holding 26 seats.  Additional travelers costs may be different.

Galapagos Side Trip:  There is the possibility for a 4 day 3 night cruise on the Santa Cruz which departs on Oct. 6th.  You can fly from Guayaquil to the island of Santa Cruz and pick up the ship.

6 Upper Deck Twin Cabins $1327.00 pp

2 Boat deck cabins $1451.00 pp

These rates include room, meals, daily shore excursions with English speaking naturalist guide.  It does not include: Galapagos Air $395.00pp, Galapagos tax $100.00pp, transfers, additional sightseeing.

There is a hotel on the island of Santa Cruz, the Finch Bay Hotel.  It is full for the week of Oct. 6th but may be available before the Zamora trip.

The Galapagos trip is subject to availability and pricing at the time of booking.  Contact Cathy Bove for more information.

Please note: If for any reason you are unable to travel it is important that you contact the Team Leader or Admin right away so that your spot can be filled.  If you get sick and are unable to travel at the last minute, please also contact the airline and notify them that you will not be using your ticket.  This will allow us to negotiate (with a doctors note) a replacement voucher for a future trip.  If you do not notify them before the flight leaves the ticket will be lost.
